Brest 2016 is a maritime festival. It takes place every 4 years in Brest. It’s one of the biggest shows of this kind in the world. More than 1000 boats were participating to this event. What I find really great about this festival it’s you can see and visit all kind of boats, from the smallest to the biggest sailboat in the world, from oldest to the latest carbon racing sailboat. Powerboat too, tugboat, frigate, steamboat…

The last day of this event, all the boats sailed between Brest and Douarnenez. A big mess but really beautiful :



I am writing this post from Algarve in Portugal, and I can write, really proudly, that so far, these 2 moderns racing boats are the only sailboat that have beaten Kata Lind so far. But they even don’t have a toilet inside! Off Lisbon, Kata Lind has even beaten a Volvo70 racing boat . But that’s another story…
