We have spent the summer in France. It was nice, good weather, many friends and family gave us visit. Excellent food of course =)
Some pictures of few places where we have been.
The mooring place of Rivedoux plage, in l’Ile de Ré :

First activity in the morning, 3 steps down and swim in the ocean. Hard life… then breakfast, reswim, lunch and then sieste…. visiting and coming back to the boat after a big day… that’s the typical day. Sorry.
Ile de Ré :

Another mooring place, inside the river La sevre niortaise :

To be able to go up rivers it’s really important to have a boat that is only 1,1m deep. In rivers you can find well portected areas and often really beautiful places.
Pertius Rochelais:

Kata Lind on the beach of Rivedoux. Really practical to have a boat that can go on the beach when travelling with her. It allows to clean the bottom, do an inspection or fix something for free and almost no risk. If not it’s necessary to use crane, harbor facilities… that cost a lot and you always have the risk of the boat falling from the crane and sometimes there is no crane.

Late september, the summer is almost over in France, it’s time to go further south. But that’s the story of the next post.
